As a graduate of Columbia University with a Masters in Social Work, Alex uses evidence-based practices to ensure her clients receive the best care possible. She customizes her therapeutic approach to each client, couple, family, or group. Alex works from a base knowledge of skills in Mindfulness and Acceptance Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Crisis Intervention Skills, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
Alex primarily works with individuals and families who have been affected by eating disorders, anxiety, depression, addiction, and/or trauma. She helps clients build self-esteem, develop healthy coping skills, improve communication, and learn more about underlying issues. She helps clients learn more about themselves by focusing on the physical and emotional aspects of their feelings.
