Angela J. Beckett received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland Global Campus and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South University. She is a fully certified QMHP (adults and children) and is completing her license requirements as a CSAC. She has worked with Substance Use Disorders in both counseling and education. Her clinical approach while working with clients who are affected by trauma, anxiety, depression, and other life-stressing and/or altering issues is to offer a collaborative and mutually respectful atmosphere.
Clinical support includes empowerment of the client(s) as the therapeutic journey towards change and rehabilitation begins. Encouraging the client toward discovery and acceptance of their own power to change and heal is based on a strengths-based and empowerment approach that prepares the client to achieve control and command of their own life. All of this is achieved in a supportive and secure environment.
