Deon Desselle-Garrison is a Resident in Counseling in the state of Virginia. Deon earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from South University Savannah, Georgia campus. Upon moving to Virginia, she continued her educational journey with South University at their Virginia Beach Campus where she earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling. She is passionate about helping those in need of therapy to becoming the best person they can be.
Deon has extensive experience working with children and their families with a variety of techniques and communication skills to improve family communication. She also works with children, teens and adults. Deon works with various mental health concerns, such as depression, anxiety, gender identity, LGBTQ+ concerns and self-harm.
Deon utilizes a humanist perspective and strengths-based approach in her work with clients as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Deon is pursuing the Certified Eating Disorder Specialist credential with our team of therapists who specialize in disordered eating.
