Eugenia Stokes, MA, Resident in Counseling
Healing is a process when working with couples, families, and individuals that happens in the context of relationships, and despite the issues that life presents, there is always hope. Eugenia considers it a privilege to work alongside her clients who are struggling with many issues including, depression, anxiety, and a range of emotional and behavioral matters. Eugenia believes that one of her most effective tools is her ability to connect with her clients in a compassionate and understanding way that empowers them to live free of destructive emotional and behavioral patterns.
Eugenia obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Virginia Wesleyan College, Masters of Arts in Community and School Counseling at Regent University, and obtained additional psychotherapy training in family therapy at Nyack College in New York.
Empathy, compassion, and a safe place to express your emotional and mental pain can be expected during your sessions. With her, you will explore and discuss strategies on how to cope and utilize the appropriate interventions for anxiety and depression, and other mental health issues. There are many approaches for healing, however, through her ability to connect and process, she will be able to identify the appropriate interventions to assist you with walking in your freedom.
Eugenia became a therapist with the realization that families, communities, and the world at large are hurting and need a different perspective to help them live a healthy lifestyle.
