Rachel Jahelka is a recent graduate of Florida Atlantic University’s Master of Social Work program, currently working towards her Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensure. With a wealth of experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds who are struggling with anxiety, grief, trauma, depression, and co-occurring disorders, Rachel is dedicated to providing compassionate and effective care. She is well-versed in therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques. Rachel’s holistic approach focuses on the whole body, ensuring that all aspects of her clients’ well-being are addressed while tailoring treatment plans to their unique needs.
Committed to a trauma-informed approach, Rachel ensures that her clients’ past experiences are acknowledged and respected in their healing journeys. She understands the profound impact that trauma can have on an individual’s life and strives to create a safe, empathetic environment for healing.
Living with type 1 diabetes herself, Rachel brings a personal understanding of the challenges associated with chronic conditions, adding depth and empathy to her practice. Her welcoming and compassionate demeanor creates a supportive environment where clients feel understood and empowered. Rachel is dedicated to helping individuals overcome their unique struggles and achieve optimal mental well-being by combining evidence-based practices with a holistic and integrative approach.
