Cynthia Libby, RDN
Cynthia Libby is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist passionate about helping folks heal their relationship with food, body image, and exercise. Cynthia has experience treating both adults and adolescents struggling with disordered eating, body image concerns, eating disorders and other mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse.
Cynthia takes a special interest in exploring the client’s current relationship with movement, offering guidance on how they may begin to challenge obligatory exercise and shift towards the incorporation of joyful movement.
Cynthia obtained her undergraduate degree in Family and Consumer Sciences: Nutrition and Dietetics focus and a minor in Psychology from Eastern Illinois University. She completed her dietetic internship and earned a master’s degree in Nutrition from Eastern Illinois University.
Cynthia has spent most of her career working with eating disorders/disordered eating and co-occurring mental health disorders in higher levels of care including residential treatment and partial hospitalization programs (PHP). Although Cynthia is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS), she enjoys working with any individual who is looking to break free from the diet culture driven society we live in and establish a healthy relationship with food free of judgements and rules. Cynthia takes a non-diet approach to nutrition aligning with the principles of HAES (Health at Every Size). She is a member of IAEDP (International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals).
