Thalia Suarez is a compassionate and skilled Clinical Mental Health Counselor who is committed to providing her clients with a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment to explore their feelings, thoughts, and experiences. Thalia has a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Psychology from Troy University, and she has experience working with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, couples, adults, and families.
Thalia’s personal experiences as a military spouse and political refugee have given her a unique perspective on the challenges that people face when dealing with significant life changes and complex emotions.
She has a deep understanding of the impact that trauma, grief, stress, depression, and anxiety can have on individuals and families and is committed to helping her clients overcome these challenges and improve their overall well-being.
Thalia is trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (A.R.T), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (E.M.D.R), Gottman Couples Counseling, Managing Emotional States Effectively (M.E.S.E), Trust Based Relational Intervention (T.B.R.I), Christian Counseling, Play-Informed Therapy, Art-Informed Therapy, Sand-Tray Informed Therapy, and is a competent autism spectrum disorder (A.S.D) counselor. She uses a client-centered approach and tailors her treatment to each individual’s unique needs and goals. She has presented both notionally and internationally on therapeutic approaches that aid in trauma processing, and incorporate fun and creative modalities to achieve emotional regulation.
